Life is beautiful.
You will never guess what I just saw!
I just saw a red squirrel actually carry a bundle of dried leaves up to its nest in its mouth, duck inside to add them, pop back out again, observe me cautiously for a moment or two, and then run down the tree, leap onto the fence rail in front of me, run down the fence post, and head off for another bunch. It was awesome! I've never seen one actually building or, all right, more accurate in this case, refurbishing a nest before!
So cool. Soooooo coooooool.
