The perfect way to start actually using a Dreamwidth account is obviously to post fic.
Cyteen fic, at that.
Five Board Games Ari Emory II Has Played and Disliked
1) Go. Planning out the shape of a confrontation ten or twelve steps ahead of the actual pace of the argument is neither novel nor relaxing.
2) Trivial Pursuit. Although, upon reflection, it might have been more successful if they’d had an edition newer than eighty years old.
3) Chutes and Ladders. The most boring fifteen minutes any four year old has ever spent.
4) Battle for the Hinder Stars. Somehow all of the ships had unlimited fuel and foodstuff supplies, and the strategic set up of the game didn’t even make a note of the independent Merchanter’s Alliance, which was bizarre, given who’d finally ended the conflict. Interesting concept, but a deeply flawed execution.
5) Chess. Uncle Denis said she was quite good.

Gotcha. I'm pretty much equally on DW and LJ now (crossposting from DW on the rare occasions when I post), so I was curious.
