Insomnia is not my favorite thing. Nooooo sir.
Up till three trying to sleep and reading about the Know Nothings in the meantime, gah.
At least it's an interesting book, if a little convoluted in places when your brain is exhausted but pretending it belongs to a gerbil or something else nocturnal. Not because of Anbinder's writing - he's very clear! But because politics tend to be a little convoluted. You can't get away from it.
