Dear The Hobbit Fandom*,
What in the name of little green apples makes you think that hobbits would consider communal bathing inappropriate? There is direct canon* evidence to the contrary!

*Yes, yes, I know that most of the people doing this probably haven't read Lord of the Rings and there's nothing in PJ's films about it except a snippet of Bilbo's Bath Song entirely without context, but a lot of stuff that's only in the books has filtered through...
