I love Ratchet in any continuity, but Transformers: Prime Ratchet is maaaaaaaybe my favorite.

Admittedly, he edges out ahead of Transformers Animated Ratchet a good bit by virtue of um, TFA!Ratchet, for all I love him, being entangled in some of what I dislike most about that series' narrative disservices to its women. ...which does not have a lot to do with the character per se. But.

He is so glorious. I love the Extremely Married 'That May Work On Everyone Else But Not On Me' looks he gives Optimus, and the sly friendly flirting with June, and how he's both pettily frustrated with his lack of supplies and adequate technology and actually really deeply afraid and worried about it. And his huge emotional investment in Bumblebee, and his gently acerbic mentoring of Raf, and - aaaaah. How angry and uncompromising he is - I just. He's such a marvelous marvelous marvelously drawn character.
