So. My younger brother has, via strategems that consist mostly of - - - looking at me really hopefully, like. Like. I don't know, a kitten or something, it's other brother who's totally totally a puppy, anyway. Has gotten me to read Homestuck. This was a thing done against my better judgement. And drat it, now I'm kind of hooked and I haven't even got to trolls. Arrrrgh oh well. I like making said brother happy.

...That's also how I wound up watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. And partly why I'm periodically playing Final Fantasy XIII (I watched him play to make him happy and because I like FF games, and then there was Lightning and Sazh and arrrrrgh I was doomed I cannot resist a practical, stoic soldier who is secretly so angry she can barely cope on a mission to save her sibling and a sardonic, kindly man quietly grieving for his son whom he still hopes to save omigoooooooosh I want them to be BFF! ...Everyone else is awesome too, but they don't come in until slightly later. I was already hooked).

And um. Let's see. Mom made me watch Sherlock (I don't like it). And Community (It makes me happy). And then there's Pysch, which is actually kind of bland on the plot level, I personally think, but has Dule Hill in a major role and is therefore hypnotic. I could watch him all day.

Said baby brother showed me the second season Halloween episode last weekend and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! "Make me proud: be the first black man to make to the end." I think this is a really brilliant way of declaring love without actually saying so!

They aaaaare. (I also love in the space simulator episode the way that it briefly becomes Star Wars instead of Apollo Thirteen once Annie is driving. Heeee.)

Can we talk about Rose.

We can toooootally talk about Rose! Rose is why I'm hooked! Like I said, I haven't got that far yet, but her relationship with her mother is hilarious, and I love how she inisists on typing out complicated, carefully composed full sentences and paragraphs in an IM client to her friends. And she knitted a new occult face and limbs for her birthday present! I really like that she's the one taking the intiative most of the time, even when she makes mistakes. Like the bathtub, for example.

I love the characters in FFXIII (well, Lightning, Sazh and Fang) and despite the flaws I did end up enjoying it.

I loved the dynamic between Lightning and Sazh at the beginning. I like to imagine them as partners in a buddy cop AU.

It would be THE BEST AU.

That was my very first fanfic thought, too. (The first thing I said to my brother was "OMIGOSH they're gonna learn to TRUST each other and be FRANDS," and I kind don't care how the game actually plays out I am totally going to write that. ...Well, eventually. Probably. If I ever have any free time ever again.)
