Bilbo~! I um, read The Hobbit first, so I did kind of come in already loving Bilbo and Gandalf, but he is pretty wonderful in the first chapters anyway, so I think it counts.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Frodo, probably. I didn't get especially invested in him until my second read through. Actually, I couldn't get invested in him at all the first time I tried – that being the attempt where I only made it to Gandalf's death and then gave up in distress.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
Hmmmmmm. I am not sure of the fannish consensus here, frankly. ...Although I don't care about Aragorn that much. I sometimes really enjoy him in his Snarky Backwoods Ranger aspect, but the further in we get and the more Destined Hero stuff comes up, the less interested I am.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I don't think there is a character everyone else hates. Although many people do not care for Lobelia and I think she's incomparably badass. - Oh, right! Tom and Goldberry. I love me some Tom and Goldberry.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Um. I cannot think of anybody.
6. The character I would totally smooch (or possibly just snuggle)
Eowyn! Sam! Arwen! Frodo! Merry! Pippin! Goldberry! Gimli!
7. The character I’d want to be like
… … ...Um. Hee. Well, I. I would give a lot to be as unflappable as Tom Bombadil.
8. The character I’d
slaptake by the shoulders and shakeOh God, Boromir, I love you, must you? Really? Must you? Also, no, Saruman, bad. Put down the creepy crystal ball and back away.
9. A pairing that I love
Frodo/Goldberry! Yay!
10. A pairing that I despise
Um. Um. Um. I'm not really a big fan of Aragorn/Eowyn in anything other than a fairly strict booksense. Iiiiiiiick.

Oh, I'm really not sure! Uh. Let's see, was it Ed or Al? I can't remember now. I maaaaaay have fallen for Al, like, a page or two before I fell for Ed? When Al fixes the radio right there in the introduction. Yeah, let's go with Al.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Marcoh, goodness help me. I didn't think I'd like him that much! He's not exactly impressive the first time you meet, so I was interested, but not enormously, and then we found out what he'd actually been doing and then there was the kidnapping and then he fell in with Scar, whom I went squooshy for super fast and the next thing I know – I don't even know.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
Envy. Meh, is my opinon on Envy. Although the whole Most of A City Really thing is interesting, I am really really not as invested as many people in this fandom.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
If I think too hard about the characters that fandom hates I'll just wind up crying. Bluh. But, um, Mei is my adorable ruthless tiny honey love. And I just want to hug Rose and take over the soup kitchen dishes for her.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Um. I cannot think of anybody.
6. The character I would totally smooch (or possibly just snuggle)
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Okay. So. Um. The grown up Bradleys are so hot I cannot even. But he's terrifying. But so hot! But he's terrifying. Oh well, I'd kiss her, anyway. And gracious knows Riza could do anything with me she wanted. And hee! Falman. Heee. And Maria Ross omigosh omigosh omigosh I'd just turn into blushing goo who can't look at her face because she's too amazing.
(Roy needs a hug.)
7. The character I’d want to be like
I want to grow up to be Pinako.
8. The character I’d
slaptake by the shoulders and shake...Actually, everyone who needs shaking has people in canon better qualified to do it who have done. It's a comforting manga that way.
9. A pairing that I love
Marcoh/Scar. I know, I know, I know!
10. A pairing that I despise
Kimblee/Basically Anyone aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh no get it away!

Oh dear. This is going so far back I have no idea. I don't even remember what I read first. Uh. Arthur? Igraine? Galahad? Gawain? Ummmmmm I have no idea.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Griflet. Why, brain, why?
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
Oh, God, Tristan, stop getting entitlement all over the place.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Hey, Galahad, you adorable creepy little suicidal freak, c'mere. Time for HUGS. (I am aware that not everyone hates him, but it can get to start seeming that way. Argh!)
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Um. I cannot think of anybody.
6. The character I would totally smooch (or possibly just snuggle)
Hi, Igraine, do you need a sweet natured sapphic handmaid?
7. The character I’d want to be like
Dibs on being Ganieda!
8. The character I’d
slaptake by the shoulders and shakeMerlin really needs to learn the meaning of “not funny once”. Uther needs to learn what consent means ohgodsogross.
9. A pairing that I love
I kind of love Morgause/Lot, for all that's basically rivalry and fighting and burn the world down together if we don't kill each other first nonsense. And I'm a sucker for Galahad/Heliabel and Galahad/Percival in all the weird, chaste permutations they can come up with for that. And Gawain/Ragnelle is the otp. And Gawain/The Green Knight/The Lady is so hot I cannot even. And – yeah, there's lots of good stuff there.
10. A pairing that I despise
No one has ever made me like Uther/Igraine. It's not so much that I despise it as that it tends to make me feel like crying. Igraine, I'm sorry! I'm sorry all your possible choices suck!

*snicker* Best phrasing ever for my reaction to Tristan.
Hey, Galahad, you adorable creepy little suicidal freak, c'mere.
I think you made me like Galahad, actually, though I don't know if I ever actually commented on those stories. He comes at the end of such a long line of condemning other heroes for being human beings (Gawain's too worldly, Lancelot's too in love with Guinevere, etc) that it's easy to blame him, but he really is a sweetheart taken on his own terms. A messed up sweetheart.
Merlin really needs to learn the meaning of “not funny once”.
*radiates inquiring curiosity*
Uther needs to learn what consent means ohgodsogross.
Yes, yes, yes. Oh, yes.
And I'm a sucker for Galahad/Heliabel and Galahad/Percival in all the weird, chaste permutations they can come up with for that.
Hmm. Don't know Heliabel. Must go look up now. Delighted agreement with the rest of your 'ships, though.
No one has ever made me like Uther/Igraine.
Um, yes. The basic outline is so exceedingly awful that I tend to read even the ones that try as either tragic or Stockholm-like.

1. The first character I first fell in love with
I lost my heart to Jack and Stephen at roughly the same time. They're just so dear and silly in that opening sequence!
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Oooooh, that's really hard to answer. PoB likes to sneak the character love up on you, so you think someone is a throwaway extra and then! Suddenly! Omigosh so much LOVE! So Killick, Bonden, and Padeen all go in that category. So does Clarissa. Wow, I love Clarissa.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
… … … ...Yeah, doesn't work. I love everybody in these books. Everybody. Except the ones I love to hate, as directed by the narrative.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I dunno. There's a distinct lack of fannish consensus on that. I don't know who everyone else hates! Also, I love basically everybody. As I said.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
Never happen!
6. The character I would totally smooch (or possibly just snuggle)
Hi, Clarissa, do you want a cuddlefriend? :D :D :D :D :D (Kind of everybody else too, but Clarissa really needs a cuddlefriend, and I dig her, so.)
7. The character I’d want to be like
BONDEN. I want to be like Bonden when I grow up. He is so awesome and capable and self assured and generally badass.
8. The character I’d
slaptake by the shoulders and shakeGod knows I love Diana to death, but she seriously needs a galpal who'll be both supportive and willing to call her on it when she's being self destructive again. And I could ttly do that, I am the queen of touchstones.
9. A pairing that I love
There are so many! Um. Sophie/Jack always makes my heart happy. They are the bestest.
10. A pairing that I despise
….I can't think of anything that anyone actually ships so far as I know. Martin, stop perving on Clarissa. Uh. That's basically it?
