Dad promised Mom a puppy for her birthday eleven months ago.

Have you ever tried to convince a three month old miniature poodle mix that the fifteen year old beagle/blue heeler mix is old and in pain from her arthritis most of the time and really is not joking when she says she does not want to play? He just does not get it, he thinks she's playing a game with him with the sleeping.

He has already figured out that his name is Mikey and is happily coming when called.
