...Why Volume II, Why?

(Also, Volume I is the trashiest classic literature I have ever read. I mean, it's basically torture porn, only the torture's psychological. I can see why it caused an uproar. It's all about lingering voyeuristically on Pamela's pain and defiance.)

On Wednesday I overheard Kate Chopin's "Story of An Hour" described by a classmate as, "the one where that guy's wife thinks he's died..."

It took me five minutes to stop gaping. Mrs. Mallard really can't have her own story, even when it is her story, can she?

... .... ....I don't know about you, but for me sunblock is not a beauty article but a "do I want to be in pain and discomfort for the next week while my superficial but widespread burn heals?" article.
