Wooooosh. Well, that was a busy day.

Yesterday Mom washed the dog, and he escaped before he could be thoroughly towel dried, spreading slippery puddles throughout the house.

Mom slipped on one of these puddles at the top of the stairs, tried to catch herself, failed, and fell down half the rest of the steps, where her foot turned under her in another puddle at the bottom.

At the time she thought she'd just bruised herself. We did the elevation and ice and rest thing, but it didn't get better, it hurt worse and swelled more, so this morning she went to the urgent care that has attached x-ray facilities and sure enough! Two of the toes are broken.

So today was pharmacies and secondary doctor's appointments and looking after Mom and I am fried.
